To be stewards in the collection of surplus and donated food for the effective distribution, free of charge, to people in need in our community while seeking solutions to the causes of hunger.

Non-perishable food donations may be left at any City of Edmonton fire station or major grocery store.

Monetary donations (which are tax-deductible) are essential to cover our operating costs and food purchases.

In 2008, volunteers contributed more than 30,000 hours to Edmonton’s Food Bank.

Prairie INK Recycling Program
Edmonton’s Food Bank is no longer able to accept inkjet and laser printer cartridges as part of our fundraising initiatives. Unfortunately, the program cannot be continued due to financial and other resource limitations; however, we hope that you will continue to dispose of these items in an environmentally-friendly means.

Food for All Seasons Spring Gala
Join Edmonton’s Food Bank on April 15, 2010 at the Sutton Place Hotel for the Food for All Seasons Gala. The theme is Taste of the Orient and Cary Williams, one of Avenue Edmonton’s 2009 Top 40 Under 40 winners, is the guest speaker. Josh Classen of CTV Edmonton is the MC.
